For several years now, Laramie Connections Center has been intentional about exposing the needs around us and serving our community primarily through the efforts of volunteers. This happens through a deep spirit of collaboration of many other organizations with very similar purposes.
Most of us have heard the story of the good Samaritan who went out of his way to help someone who had been cast aside by others and left to completely fend for themselves? for himself. In doing so, this individual not only changed a person’s life but left an example of selfless service for us all to model.
Laramie Connections believes that same spirit is alive and thriving in Laramie. There is so much great work being done on behalf of those in need and we long to bring those efforts more to the center of our attention. In addition, we hope to build a deeper sense of gratitude city-wide for these individuals giving back in such meaningful ways.
We call these modern-day servants The Good Lamaritans and this is our way of introducing them to you. Each month we will highlight key volunteers from various non-profits and serving agencies in our community. There is so much good that goes unseen or unknown around town and we intend to "unmask the good" all around us!
