Jennifer GrahamIt's important to me to volunteer in the community because I have small children and I want volunteering to be a part of their rhythm of life. I want them to grow up giving back and for that to be a part of "normal" life. It's sometimes hard to incorporate children in volunteer work but I believe starting them young is critical! I encourage my friends to consider volunteering with Laramie Connections because they really do try to connect you with service opportunities that work with your own circumstances.
I love serving with Connections because they are unapologetically Christian and also completely committed to serving everyone regardless of their belief system. As an organization they do an excellent job of serving the marginalized in a way that meets both physical and spiritual needs. As a volunteer, I feel like the work I do makes the day less burdensome for our clients and helps them feel connected to friends.

Jennifer has been a huge blessing for Connections. She reached out to us saying she wanted to get her kids involved in serving in the community and if there was something they could do. Jennifer and her kids started helping with our meal deliveries from the soup kitchen every week and have taken on the role as one of our Sunday dinner cooks. Jennifer has a huge heart for the people.
She has built relationships within the community we serve and has made herself available as a friend to those who might not have many friends around. She loves to have her kids involved in what she does bringing them with her to help cook and serve the meal and everyone adores having them there. We are so thankful for all they do!
