Laramie Connections

​Dylan is a breath of fresh air! He has such a real and raw love for life and for serving those around him. He came to Laramie Connections over three years as a part of the Sunday evening meal and gathering. Since that time, he has become one of most go to volunteers.

He is super flexible and willing to help others even in the last minute requests. Dylan embodies Laramie Connections' high value of compassion. He is able to see people where they are and connect with a deep sense of empathy and care.

Dylan is one of the most flexible and available volunteer drivers helping people get to doctor's appointments, work shifts and family gatherings, In addition, he has recently taken on the responsibility of managing the Connections vehicle storage and shop space. Keeping the fleet of donated vehicles in great working condition is a daily activity and the number one way that Dylan sees his tools and gifts being put to use. 

People like Dylan bring out the best in the people around them. Laramie Connections is proud to have him serving our community!

Dylan says he volunteers in our community because this community brought him to his feet when he was on his knees. He claims he didn't always feel like he deserved to be helped but as a result of others' kindness he feels compelled now to serve and it brings him a great sense of fulfillment.

He loves serving with Laramie Connections because he gets a chance to lift up help friends. The more he got involved, he says that it deepened his sense of compassion for others. Dylan enjoys sharing the Connections mission of meeting people at their place of need and is quick to share that the gratitude people give back makes him feel good, too.

Dylan is grateful to Laramie Connections for the chance to serve because it fills the void he had from his journey to sobriety and it brings him a lot of personal satisfaction.
