The Laramie Police Department Foundation focus is fostering positive relationships between the Police Department and the Laramie community youth. The Foundation also provides resources to the Police Department to support their community outreach, leadership, training, officer morale, educational programs, and activities.

Andrea Senior, the current Foundation President, has been on the Board for several years. Andrea served as a Laramie Dispatcher for 9 years and understands the needs of the Police and the community.

Last year she executed the Foundation’s largest fundraiser, Jail and Bail which was the main funding for the 3rd Annual Shop with a Cop. Shop with a Cop provides 30 Laramie children with Christmas shopping money and a complete holiday meal for the entire family. The shopping experience with a cop also builds trust with a law enforcement officer for these children at risk.

Andrea brings creativity, resources, and knowledge of the community to the Foundation making fundraising and event planning a success.

I am compelled by my love of people & my desire to help when I can. The group we have at the foundation is comprised of some of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. "Working" along side them doesn't feel like work at all.

I often say my family bleeds blue, a sacrifice few know; my grandfather, mother, & husband are all law enforcement, my dad was a fireman & I worked as a 911 operator for several years. I feel driven to do whatever I can in an effort to support emergency service persons. Our goal for the foundation is to help facilitate a relationship between our community & the LPD officers. I feel like we have done some pretty great work! 

I am so incredibly blessed in every measurable way that volunteering doesn't feel like a chore. My Savior has put me in the unique position to serve others. I just want to continue serving in His name wherever I can. One person's actions makes a big difference in our little community. My fulfillment comes from making somebody's day better & burden a little less.
